Properties

COALGAN Sterile Swabs contain :

• Calcium Alginate Fibers
• I's a substance extracted from brown seaweed that will promote the platelet aggregation and thus reduce coagulation time and stop the bleeding faster. It gelifies on the surface when in contact with blood.

Results

Accidental Bleeding from the nose, mouth or bleeding following a wound or puncture are effectively and quickly stopped.

Directions for use

• Nosebleed : unblock the nose and bend head forward, twist a swab and then introduce in the nose and hold it for 10 minutes. Leave the swab for 30 minutes minimum then remove it and throw it.
• Skin bleeding : disinfect the wound with soap and water or physiological serum, then apply the swab until total cessation of bleeding.
• Mouth bleeding : Apply to the area (lips, tongue or gums) until the total cessation of bleeding.

Warning

Don't leave the swab more than 24 hours, consult a doctor.

If a chlorhexidine product was used, rinse wit physiological serum before applying COALGAN swab.
